About SCCBC
Committed to Community & Culture
South Carolina Community Black Caucus is a nonpartisan 501(c)(4) nonprofit advocacy organization formed as a social cooperative by community activists, legal professionals, political operatives, business owners, and faith leaders. We serve as a multi-issue advocacy group that empowers citizens to advocate on their own behalf by actively engaging elected officials at every level of government and all political parties to introduce and pass policies, laws, and ordinances that are equitable, just and provide political, social, and economic inclusion for Black citizens and all segments of our communities.
By partnering with business owners, collaborating with community leaders, working alongside like-minded organizations, and utilizing a four-pronged approach of voter education, citizen lobbying, strategic economic initiatives, and, when necessary, litigation, we advocate for the repeal or reform of policies, laws, ordinances, and business practices that directly or indirectly harm, exclude, discriminate, disenfranchise, or disproportionately disadvantage Black citizens, communities, or businesses.

Our Mission
Our mission is to work with all elected leaders and political parties to introduce and support just and equitable policies, laws, and ordinances that provide political, social, and economic inclusion for Black citizens, communities, and business owners.
Our Vision
The vision is to be the premier advocacy organization for the implementation of policies, laws, ordinances, and economic procedures that positively impact and elevate the lives of Black citizens, communities, and business owners in South Carolina.
